Live Event Graffiti & Brand Activations Cape Town

Live graffiti mural created for Adidas at Cape Town Stadium during a major event activation.

There's nothing quite like watching a mural come to life in real time. We Do Graffiti offers professional live graffiti performances and branded mural walls for events across South Africa — creating a magnetic focal point that guests stop, watch, film, and share.

We've painted live for brands including Adidas, New Balance, Uber, Nedbank and Marlboro. From intimate product launches to large-scale festival activations, live graffiti turns any event into an experience people talk about long after they leave.

What is live event graffiti?

Live graffiti is exactly what it sounds like: a professional artist painting a custom mural in real time, in front of your audience, as part of your event. The artwork is completed during the event — from blank wall to finished piece — giving guests a time-lapse of creativity that no static display can replicate.

The finished mural can remain as a permanent installation, be displayed as a branded asset, or be photographed and documented for social and PR use.

What we offer for events

  • Live mural painting at product launches and brand activations

  • Custom branded mural walls for corporate events and conferences

  • Live art at festivals, markets, and public events

  • Interactive walls where guests can participate or sign the finished piece

  • Mobile graffiti walls — freestanding structures we build, paint, and transport

  • Time-lapse video documentation of the live painting process

  • Digital illustration of the design for print and social media use

Why live graffiti works for brands

Live art creates what marketers call a "moment" — an unscripted, authentic experience that draws a crowd and generates genuine engagement. Guests naturally gather to watch, creating a social hub at your event. They photograph and share it. The finished artwork becomes a physical record of the occasion, branded and permanent.

For product launches in particular, a live mural wall creates a visual backdrop that photographs beautifully and anchors the event space. For conferences and summits, it signals creativity and culture in a way that no banner stand ever could.

Our process

  1. Brief & concept — We discuss the event, the brand, the wall or surface dimensions, and the desired outcome.

  2. Design development — We create a custom concept for your approval, incorporating brand assets, colours, and messaging.

  3. Pre-event setup — We arrive early, set up the surface, and prepare all materials before guests arrive.

  4. Live painting — Mr Bzar paints throughout the event, engaging with guests and bringing the wall to life in real time.

  5. Documentation — We photograph and where agreed, film the process for your social and PR use.

Areas we serve

We perform live graffiti at events throughout South Africa — Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, and beyond. Travel and accommodation costs apply outside the Cape Town metro.

FAQ — Live Event Graffiti

How long does a live mural take to complete?

Most live event murals are designed to be completed within the duration of your event — typically 4–8 hours depending on size and complexity. We design the artwork specifically to suit your event timeline.

What surfaces can you paint on?

We can paint on plaster, brick, wood, hardboard, canvas, and custom-built freestanding panels. If you don't have a suitable wall, we can build and supply a mobile mural wall as part of the package.

Can guests get involved?

Absolutely — and it's often the highlight. We can design an interactive section where guests leave a message, sign their name, or add to the artwork. We did exactly this at the New Balance Head Office launch and it became the most talked-about element of the event.

Can we keep the mural after the event?

Yes. A permanently installed mural stays on your wall. A freestanding mobile wall can be kept, displayed at future events, or we can arrange transportation and storage.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking at least 3–4 weeks in advance to allow time for concept development and approval. For larger or more complex activations, 6–8 weeks is ideal.
